Three Resident Scrutiny Panel members had the chance to participate in a one-day national conference on social housing, held in central London during May by Inside Housing. The focus of the event was on fostering better relationships between tenants and landlords across social housing. Discussions aimed to identify methods for rebuilding trust and creating a more positive and collaborative environment.
Key topics of discussion included:
- Enhanced communication: Strategies for improving communication between tenants and landlords.
- Increased accountability: Ensuring that landlords are held accountable for their actions.
- Combating stigma: Addressing negative stereotypes associated with social housing.
- Inclusive engagement: Fostering more inclusive and accessible methods for tenant engagement, empowering residents and ensuring their voices are heard.
Panel members will now be looking at how they can incorporate their learnings from their day into their work at Rosebery.
