Help With Employment & Training
We are committed to getting residents into employment and training. The advantage of working with us is that we offer a holistic approach. As well as helping you search for employment, we support you with the tools you need to make your journey in to work successful.
We offer a range of services, including:
- A weekly Job Hub
- One to One Employment Advice
- Free Training Courses
- Funding of up to £1,000 towards training (such as college course fees, course materials/equipment)
Job Hub and 1-2-1 Support
Nanette is an Employment Advisor who works for The ETHOS Project which is run by Surrey Lifelong Learning Partnership Nanette runs the Job Hub every Friday from 12pm to 2pm at the Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road. Laptops and internet access are provided.
As well as running the Job Hub she also holds one to one appointments at the Epsom Council building.
Support at the Job Hub and during 1-2-1's can include helping you to write your CV, writing covering letters, searching and applying to jobs, practicising interview questions and searching and applying for courses/training.

Free Training Courses
We work with several partners to offer you a range of free training courses, including The ETHOS Project and the Workers Educational Association (WEA).
Our courses have included basic and more advanced Computer Skills training, and CV writing. We'll keep you updated on future training that we'll be offering.
Brighter Futures Fund
As training is one of the key factors to finding employment, we also offer funding to help you pursue your individual training needs. The goal is that this training will help you into employment. Our Brighter Futures Fund enables you to apply for up to £1,000 to use towards a course. Examples of courses where this money has been used includes Hair and Beauty, HGV Licence and AAT training.
